"Eddy Roswell," is the stage persona of Ed Skibbe, who performs solo and in a variety of ensemble and band configurations. In 2014, the remains of the Colorado band Songsmith sought to re-form as a band built around Ed's songs and performances.

After some difficulty agreeing on a name for the new band, Spencer Pyne suggested that since Ed hailed from Roswell, NM, the band could be called Eddy Roswell. (Tequila may have been involved in this suggestion.) For a few years the band performed as Eddy Roswell and Phantom Ranch, which eventually shortened to Eddy Roswell.

Ed founded and led Colorado CAMP4Kids, a music and art mentoring program for at-risk kids. He also was the President of BEAMS, an international music and songwriting seminar series based in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Ed has coached and mentored dozens, if not hundreds, of musicians, performers and songwriters of all ages and experience levels.
